looking to upgrade my lighting for FOWLR. $100 seems to get either a 260 wt PC or a 216 wt T5 on ebay. I have a 75 gallon. Any thoughts? Also, seems like i remember someone stating one of the brands had a "fire" issue.

Need some advice.

T5's would be better than PCs in my opinion, even for FOWLR. I like the color choices better. Odyssea is the brand that has had fire issues. I am sure a google search will lead you to some threads on other forums relating experiences.

Good luck with your lights.

I purcased a light aytem from Hellolights.com on 1/23/09. I have been very happy with it. $154.95 + $16.00 on shipping
(2) T5 HO Super Actinic 54w and (2) T5 <span style="color: White"><span style="color: Black">HO 48" 10,000K 54W
My tank is a 72g Bow front

I also purchased from Ebay for my 30g long a 36" 4 bulb (2 actinics and 2 daylight 12,000k) CF w/moon lights and 3 cordsand 3 switches. It looks like a Corallife. Has worked great for the 2 months I've had it. No fires. It was $88.00
You need a 48" in length
