Hi guys first post great website. I have a 90 gallon reef tank with a 48" sunpod light with (2) 150 MH bulbs. I have a chance to pick up another identical fixture at a good price. My question would there be a significant benefit if added the second and secondly wonder if would look goofy? Thanks Bill

Hi Bill,
I don't think it would look goofy, but it would make it hard to work on the tank, as a 90 is only 18" front/back, and the Sunpod you refer to is 8.25" front to back. it will basically cover the entire top of the tank.

You'd have great light from twin 150 watt units. Your other option would be to keep the money for the second, sell your first, and buy a single 2 x 250 Sunpod, if you want to stick with the brand. Good deals out there, as Current USA is discontinuing the line.

Welcome! There are a lot of experienced reef keepers here with a lot of knowledge and experience to share.

I'm upgrading my lighting from 2, 150 w MH to 2, 250w MH myself. My tank is 26" deep and the 150's don't reach the bottom very well. If you can do like Dave said on the dual 250w unit, it'll leave room to add actinics later and add more options.
