lighting replacement

brandonmason- well the proof is in the pudding lol. what do you have yours set to? do you have any supplemental lightning or is the tank lit solely by LEDs?

snowman- lol I hear that. what is the ideal range for alk and cal? I can take my water to a LFS and have them test it also. I will try to increase my flow also.

I never took into the size as a factor to growth.
I do have 4 t5s, however they were added just a few weeks ago so the reaction from the add hasn't hit yet.

The manufacturer suggest 12" but with our cutting my canopy I can't do that. However on my softie tank and my lps tank they both are mounted 12" above waterline and they do fine.

okay I'm just going to leave mine in the same spot then. did you change the hanging kit with yours?

to what if you don't mind me asking? I was thinking about those little chain links but not sure if they would be strong enough to hold it up

sorry for all the questions

I got a bad case of dino, which did a number and then I moved. I rebooted when I moved it, so it's been running this go round for about 9 months - should be stabilizing out and growth taking off any time now.

not sure what the ideal range is, but I keep my calc at 430-450 & alk 7.8-8.4 throughout the day. I dose alk at night and calc during the day. my PH ranges from 8.2-8.45.

Its all about stability. No drastic changes. Let your corals adapt to your parameters and let it take off eventually.
