So I'm working out the final details of a led upgrade and I already planned a dimmer but was thinking if I could find a controller that would ramp up and down I'd really prefer that as well as the dimmer.
I'm not looking for digital ph/temp control etc , just something basic.
Is there anything out there or some way to get this effect another way ?
bear in mind $ is a factor .

There is the typhon led controller. Or you can build one out of an arduino if you can type a little code.

+1, Make sure to get the PWM drivers if you do, it can control up to 4 drivers on separate channels. I've had mine going since April and it works great.

Is this programable or how does that feature work. The 8 wire connector I assume is for the 4 channels , so if I want to just run 2 channel to keep things simple how would that effect things.
I'm just looking for simplicity , laying out my led's for 4 channels isn't needed nor practical for me .

I meant I read about it not for you to read about it. Sorry that sounded rude. But I have coded arduino. Typhoon is arduino based. But has all the coding done. Just set the cycles you would like.

I only have 3 channels so only 6 wires are used, 2 left hanging, very simple to program. Each channel has it's own start, end, intensity and fade time. Mine for example is set to c1 on 10:00 off 18:00 intensity 50% fade 1:00. That puts my whites on at 10am starting at 0% and ramping to 50% by 11am and then starts fading from 50% at 5pm and off at 6pm for example. I have another for my blue LEDs and my green/cyan/UVs. If you have any questions about wiring it or want to see it in person before you buy you can Pm me. I consider it one of the best $50 or so I spent on my tank.

Thanks that was helpful.
I think for around 50$ I can't go wrong , just wondering if I could mount it in a housing with my constant current .
I'm adding purple uv 380-410nm , I was planning on wiring them with the royal b but this unit would make it quite easy to split it up.
Thanks again to you all

Keep in mind you would have to have a separate driver if you were to split off the UV. I just mounted my typhon next to my drivers inside of my stand, I have a single 8/18 wire running to my canopy for my 3 channels and 2 wires for my fans, but you can either buy or build a project box for the typhon if you wanted. I was originally going to build one but mounted it high enough to protect from splashes or water.
