I will be upgrading my lighting from Maxspect 120 to Radion Gen3 over my 30 Cube. I have the Maxspect 12" above water and have Bs 90% and Ws 50% for 5 or 6 hours a day, ramping up and down for a total light time of around 10-11 hours (can't remember my exact settings).

I will be hooking this up to APEX via the WXM module and was thinking of starting with 40% overall intensity? What do you think?

I don't have a radion but I max my whites out at about 10-15%, various blues at 50-65%, and the rest of the colors at around 20-25%

I'd start at 40%, going from LEDs to LEDs you shouldn't have much of a shock to the corals as other lighting. Watch them closely to see if they need more or less light.

honestly i would start out at 25-30% and work your way up. the new g3 uses more powerful leds and if im not mistaken also has a couple more colors giving it more power overall. im using a first gen radion over my 20 long and i max mine out at 65% around 1 or 2 oclock. and its just ramping up and down the whole day. i figure its more natural that way. and also i get 16 hours worth of light (which is about a normal day outside during the summer anyway) and it dosent bleach my corals out.
