Limewater DIY

I seen this older thread(http://www.atlantareefclub.org/forums/showthread.php?t=2039"><span style="color: #22229c;">http://www.atlantareefclub.org/forum...ead.php?t=2039</span></a>) about a DIY unit,and was wondering if I could use this with top off water instead of RO water.Of course RO is under pressure and most ATO's are gravity fed.
Do you guy's and gal's think that gravity pressure into this unit would provide enough dose to make a differance?

I have used this with my ato for a couple of years now with great success. My pH is rock sollid at 8.4 with this and a ca reactor. I have an aqualifter pump doing my ato with this.
