Little Giant pump issue

For you guys that are electrical and/or pump/motor geeks........I've got a Little Giant pump that doesn't start when you give it power. If you spin the impeller just a little, it'll take off but not on it's own. Is that possibly a capacitor issue? Or is it something else? I've oiled the bearings and the shaft is free turning so it's definitely inside the motor. I'm just looking to determine if it's something simple that can be fixed or if I should just trash it.

I'm going with starting capacitor if it runs smoothly once started.

It does. It ramps up to speed and then it's fine until you unplug it.

This got me to thinking so I opened it up and looked at the start capacitor...one leg was off. Now it runs perfectly.

Got to love those easy fixes. . Spent the last month with no ATO just because I didn't have time to dig into the problem with my DIY. Just now I took the time to mess with it and a wire had pulled loose. Duh!!!!!
