Can anyone recommend a good source for live rock in the Atlanta area? It looks like I am heading down tomorrow to buy a light from an arc member. I have bought rock in Chattanooga at $12 per pound loaded with bad stuff. I am hoping to find a better source.

Nemo on 78 in Lilburn has some very nice rock at about 6.00lb, I have bought a lot from them and never had any hichhikers

I like the pieces i got from The Fish Store, they have awesome shapes perfect aquascaping but they are $10 per pound

Premier aquatics has caribbean live rock for 5.99/lb and also real reef aquacultured live rock (all purple gaurenteed pest free) for 9.99/lb. All rock has been cured.

If it was me buy dead rock for 2.00 a pound at BRS and cure it. CHeap and easy

Thanks guys. I drove down today to buy a t5 from another arc member and picked up live rock at Optimum in Kennesaw. They drop the price to 4.99 if you buy more than 25 pound. That made it much less painful than the $12 per pound Chattanooga rate.

$12 / POUND?! holy cow.. thats a horrible price JMO, but WOW

Yup, only two lfs in Chattanooga, $12 per pound. Another guy runs a part time operation out of his house at $6.00.

I'm looking to sell some/all of my live rock (breaking down the tank). $4/pound. I got enough to fill a 110gallon tank. Some nice corals attached. The only hitchhikers I would remove are the astarinas that devour the coraline.

Most people locally don't realize how lucky we all are to have so many awesome marine shops in such a small area.
The ppl I talk with on my other forum tell the same story.
