Long tentacle Rhodactis mushrooms

Anyone ever seen a long tentacle Rhodactis mushrooms? Had thies mushrooms for at least 7 years an it just seems like they the tentacles get longer and longer and some of them are almost 2 inches long. Anyone have an explanation on why this has happened over the years?

Maybe there’s more flow there than what mushrooms *usually* prefer, that’s my only guess

Well part of the answer is that these aren't Rhodactis! These are Ricordea yuma, which can have longer feeding tentacles than most morphs do. They look very happy!

I had a colony that did that. Not sure why and only some did it.

It is on a large rock so not planning on it but I might be willing to, when I get home I will take a look and see if it is easy to get out to frag.

You can use a scalpel or razor blade in your tank and just cut off any that are hanging away from the rock. Cut as close to the rock as possible, without hacking at it.
