I’m thinking about adding an AI Nero 5 to my 75-gallon mixed reef to get more random flow patterns without too much extra bulk in the tank. For those of you who have been running a Nero 5 for a year or more, how has it held up? I’m particularly interested in how quiet it is compared to other popular pumps like the Ecotech MP40 or even budget-friendly options like the Jebao OW series. Does the flow pattern keep both SPS and LPS happy in a mixed reef? Any reliability issues or maintenance quirks I should know about before pulling the trigger?
