if someone could tell me what this is it would be good also :confused2: i am assuming it's a type of algae. good or bad? should i yank it now or leave it be? it's quickly becoming out of control.

To me it looks like grape kelp ( that's what live aquaria called it when I bought it). Assuming that it is, it's harmless and any tang would destroy it in no time. Toss it in your sump if u don't like the appearance . I would off to buy it if you were so far away

this came from the big frag meeting we had awhile back, it was on a rock with some clove coral. lost the clove coral and this took over the rock.
