I have a 325 display with dual sumps total system is near 380. I am looking to get the best tank controller made that controls everything and has net. I want to monitor and be able to control tank over my cell or computer. I have only seen 2 diffrent companys making systems like this but I have never had a controller before at all and dont want to buy junk or overlook something. Money is not a concern.

Im sure others will chime in here but my vote is apex. I did a lot of reasearch and read a lot of feedback. Apex was the over overwhelming chooce

+1
Try this. Send an email to both companies with a question like you're a customer that owns one and has a problem. That will tell you a lot.

+1 that is what I did and I went with a RKE. Great service and support. And easy to use.

Yea the only two controllers I have found with net was the Apex and Reefkeeper Elite

Edit: Hey Bruce1 Its David from Dalton. I am the one who bought your live rock.

Wow. Honestly, that seems to be the exception, not the rule that you experienced. DA took 8 days to return my email. Neptune did the same day. My two follow up questions were answered in 15 minutes total with his cell phone number if I had more questions.

I have no experience with the actual RKE unit. Just read a lot of feedback from those who owned both.

I got a killer deal on a ReefKeeper Elite with NET ($100) and I love it. Can't complain at all.

100.00 for all of it? If so killer deal and where can I find one

wow if I could find eather controller for 100 bucks I would jump on it!!! I will be at the office tommorrow all day if you want stop by bruce. I got the right sump and Trigger Systems TiTan skimmer in 3 days ago. Putting in mag 18's now. Still waiting on my other sump that came in scratched. The mirror image of my other one. They are in process of making my new one now.

lol - Aaron over at Nemo's had it for sale before Christmas. It was used and I had to get a temp probe but it's 100% functional and really works well.

service is what sealed the deal for me. after talking to several people in the industry i only heard good things about their service and support. took that with the reviews i read about what an awsome product they were making and i pulled the trigger on it.

I'm the same as Seth... kind of surprised. I had fine service out of both my RKLs, but found DA's support to be horrid. If you look at their forums, there are scores of posts with legit trouble (and not stuff everybody should just know how to fix), and DA's people don't seem to give input very often. The vast majority of help available there comes from other hobbyists who have learned by doing.

No contest.

From the standpoint of support and "what can this thing do", I agree in full.

I've seen plenty of people tout Apex quality over RK, but frankly I've known just as many dead Apexes as I have dead Reefkeepers.

What sold me what the power and flexibility... I've got an automated water change routine all done, and I'm 99% sure that can't be done with a Reefkeeper... even if it can, I know I couldn't have figured out how to do it.

I have a RKE and while it is a good controller and does what I need it to do I wish I would have gone with an Apex. The Apex has many more options and RKE customer service has been a nightmare to deal with.

Me too. Neptune will go above and beyond to take care of their customers.

For ease of use and cost effective Neptune. If money is of little concern, And full diversity and functionality is a valued, profilux

Apex here. Love the flexibility and programming choices. Never had a DA product so I can't really comment on them...

I have been leaning toward the apex because the I phone app.
With question about additional plugins. Does anyone know how
far away from the unit can the recepticals be placed. I will need atleast
24-30 plugins. Trying to think about mounting them.
