lowes is throwing away lights

those huge ones they use to light the store anyone want one... theyve got 350 of them.... if you can get ahold of me pretty quick, dennis will check to make sure they are still there. they look like the big mh ones. we will be coming to the ballgame monday so ppl can pick them up then.

Ok, he said he'll grab as many as he can when he gets off at 8. I'll repost when he calls then and let you guys know how many he was able to get. He said that somebody just dumped a load off pallots on top of them, so he may not be able to get to too many of them.

But, he's going to try to get as many that are reachable and not broken as he can.

I picked up some from a the Home Depot in Macon when they moved and they were 280VAC. They wouldn't sell the transformers, the contractors took all of them and they were 3 phase.

There not 3 phase. They would be single phase 277v. More then likely. More times then not they use multi-tap ballast fixtures(Cheaper for the Manuf.) to where you can switch them to 120/240/277 etc..... It really depends on how old the store is.

Exactly, they are not three phase (thats for motors) and they are most likely a multi-tap ballast.

Ok, uploading pics now- he was able to get 8. They don't have reflectors on them, he said those were all in the bottom of the hopper, and most were completely broken.

After looking at the pics, let me know who is still interested.
