So back in November I lower almost all my sps to STN. Now my LPS are showing pretty bad tissue recession. And can't figure out the cause. Only certain acans and blastos have been affected. My wall hammer is unchanged. All my acans and blastos are on a frag rack in my sump under a t5 and they have been there for over a year. First I thought it was bulbs so I put a white one in and it think it just made it worse.

Any suggestions or causes as to what causes this would be great!

Thanks,
Colin

How old are your bulbs? And have you done some water testing to make sure you chemistry is in check?

I think IO cause I still get premade from the store. Although its been a while since my last WC I might do one tomorrow.

And 1/2 of the bulbs were replaced around the first of the year. Other half will be changed soon.

has your skimmer been producing microbubbles that might be irritating them into recession?

I'll check tomorrow but I don't think it would cause it to happen this bad.

BTW welcome back man!

if its that bad then probably not.....just going for different angles...

and thanks Colin....good to be back!

Colin I had the same issue in my old set up. From time to time for no reason my acans would start melting away. I never found the cause. I wish you luck as I know it is frustrating.
