All of my LPS are dieing. I had several hammers, octopus corals. All as big as a vollyball. With in 2 weeks they all have receded and look like they are dieing. All my zoas look great. Also I had some big Montis and athey socker ball size hollywood stunner and they have turned white.
What could some of the causes be?

LED light. Salinity 1.025. Calcium was 425. PO4 ..50 (I set up gfo reactor last night) nitrate/nitrite 0. ALK. ? I will have tyo look when I get home. Tank is 227 gallon sett up since June. Zoas and RBTA doing great.
All the coral was moved from my 150 about 2 months ago.

Whats your temp. fluctuation? Did it happen over night? WHen you set up your PO4 reactor, did you start off small to prevent coral shock?

Over a 2 week peroid. Just started reactor last night. Temp stays at 77 RKE does not let it get above 77.5 or below 76.5

I just tested Alk. on a hanna meter it was 5.65 DKH or 101ppm

So when did you start seeing recession? If you transferred things 2 months ago and all was well then something with your parameters has changed. My first thought would be light but if they were happy for a month and a half then probably not it. I would try moving the light or receding corals to a different height but not sure if you can. Are they in direct flow from a powerhead?

If that alk reading is correct, that's a little low for me. I like to keep mine around 10dkh

I just started dosing to raise Alk.

Check the magnesium too. If the magnesium isn't where it needs to be, it may be hard to raise the alk.

+1 If mag is low your alk and calcium is precipitating out before corals can make use of it. You say you started dosing to raise Alk. How fast did you raise it? Slow is the way to go.
