LTA stuck in powerhead!

lol... rgr that... i started questioning the jar lid thing, then kept scrolling down, haha... :)

I'm convinced the poor LTA isn't going to make it. I wasn't able to make it to HD last night to buy the piece of pvc, I was just not feeling very well at all, I will try to make it today. I moved the LTA a bit so that I could try and get a semi-decent picture of it quick... Poor Marley has been patrolling it and looking a tad upset... When we first pulled it out of the PH it looked fine, the next morning it still looked good, but by about 24 hours later, he began looking like the below picture, with moments here and there of looking better, but rare...

Well, the LTA appears to be deteriorating or maybe disintegrating is a better description. It's been doing so for a couple days now. It has few tentacles left even shriveled up and it's mouth is completely turned inside out it would appear. I tried feeding it, putting the bottom of a small plastic cup like container that resembled the pvc piece so it could stick to the glass (I at first had a very dunce moment, and just stuck it in the cup, not thinking about cutting the bottom out so it could stick to the glass. duh, but even at this point it was already falling apart)... I thought maybe it was just trying to split apart, but I am pretty confident that it is done for... One of the clowns was nipping at it this morning too, I'd almost swear he was trying to eat it, lol...

At the point where it begins to deteriorate and fall apart, is it safe to say it's time to let it go and get rid of it?

Anenomes aren't my stronger area as I haven't kept them in years but it really doesn't sound good at this point. If it were me, I'd go ahead and remove him and be done with it. Just my $.02 but like I said, I'm not a nem expert. Sorry the thing isn't doing very well.

Yeah, it's pretty well a pile of mush after almost a week since it's run in with the PH... Looked good the day after, and has rapidly declined ever since. Poor LTA... it was so beautiful... but I guess we had to suffer our first aquarium loss sooner or later... time for a moment of silence later I suppose... I think I feel the worst for poor little Marley, he was king of the Nem, on the flip side, he has reverted to playing with Journey again, which makes me happy...

My BTA finally settled in a nice spot after moving all over the tank... then one day I came home to find little pieces of him blowing all around in the tank current... the biggest remaining piece I had to dig out of a Koralia 3... needless to say, not a survivor.

Yep poor LTA, R.I.P... I pulled it out carefully without it disintegrating in a million pieces.
