The gentleman in the foreground is Dr. Hugo Freudenthal and his wife, such a delightful couple. Dr. F is the discoverer of the symbiotic relationship of [I]Symbiodinium</em> and the coral host (Zooxanthellae).

Best MACNA EVER!

Out of all the MACNAs I've been to, THIS one was DEFINITELY the BEST.

Best group of scientific presentations (my fave was Kim Cobb), best DIY and frag presentations, best facility (wow at the Westin), definitely BEST ORGANIZED, and being at the banquet and looking up to see one of the whale sharks glide by made the dining experience one in a Million. That, coupled with the opportunity to see so many old friends from around the country and overseas, definitely made this the BESET yet. the only thing missing was about two more days of extra time to get down to the trade show aspect of it, I think I peronally only had about 45 minites of free time to go to the show.

Awesome job, Steve, you and Margie and all the guys and girl that were behind the scenes made this work like a well-oiled machine, many thanks to all that helped make this event turn out the way it did.

and what about all those pictures you took Tom!! where are they :)
