Passing through and wanted to see if there were any LFS worth stopping by
I was wondering if there were any people from our area here!We have nothing here.
Hey welcome to ARC and welcome to the reefing community. You should post your setup in the members tank portion of the forum with some pictures and what you are running. We love to see pictures. Lol. Also if you have any concerns or questions please feel free to post them. We have a great community here with awesome members that have a wealth of knowledge.Hey! hahaha.
I'm new to the hobby. I'm almost done cycling my 100g and have been looking for somewhere local to grab chaeto and copepods. There is no where lol.
I think we have 2 LFS that have saltwater and one didn't seem very clean.

Thanks for the offer!I have parents in Locust Grove. I’ve met a few Macon members there to give them stuff. I could always help by picking stuff up you need and meeting you there.
You've got to have food and nutrients for the copepods and chaeto to grow. That goes for your clean up crew too. This is one of the few areas in the hobby where you want to be reactive instead of proactive. Get some fish 1st then look to add those other things.I'm trying to get a healthy population of copepods in the tank (to live in the refugium) before adding fish that feed heavily on them. What would you suggest?
According to Heisenberg Aquatics, you can cycle with copopods. They are a sponsor on this forum. Great copopods and phyto.I'm trying to get a healthy population of copepods in the tank (to live in the refugium) before adding fish that feed heavily on them. What would you suggest?

I always add pods and use phyto to get them started before adding pod dependent livestock. Has worked for us for years. Our mandarin is super fat and happy.I have seen lots about them! I should be done cycling hopefully today if the stars align. The nitrites have gotten down to 0.25 as of 2 days ago. Then I'll water change and re-test.
I was thinking of adding pods and phyto, because I want to get them growing and multiplying! If that's a bad idea, I will take the advice for sure.
