My 93 is running a stand-alone 12 gallon fuge and I've only ever had chaeto. Should I diversify macros in the fuge or just stay with a big honkin' ball of chaeto?

If diversification is suggested, what EASY macros would you suggest (ie...non-sexual, non-tank-nuking varieties:D)

Not all macros go asexual.

A great macro is halimeda -- I have it in a couple of tanks and it is a very nice macro -- it is fast growing, hardy, can coexist with chaeto, and is very nice looking, and you can have it in your display since it is very well-behaved.

It will put out spores and turn white if you let your calcium get too low, but for me that's a bonus since it's a visual indicator.

Halimeda is a slow growing calcium based macro. Poor choice for nutrient export. I love caulerpa. Cheato is great, but I dig the "other" just for personal taste and you can clip some on for your herbivore. Especially the feathered and grape varieties. Triggers love the solid leaved ones as they do codium
