I’ve got like three small bottles of liquid silicone lubricant that I got at the extinct DrsFoster&Smith (Petco owned) I got it to place on the reactors “O” rings, being sold on an Aquarium supply webpage I’ve always have had the sense that it was aquarium safe and gave me no concerns, never had issues with my livestock, but never try it on pumps, would make me think that friction, heat, and constant contact with water, in the shaft, would be a difference than a seal that just seat and prevents any leak.
