I'm trying to understand the creature but only find so much info in reading. Benedict XIII is a tiny mantis, under 2 inches. Fairly active in his rennovation of burrow in the early morning hours. I've seen him eat the squid piece I put in twice (in the past week).
I'm wondering how often I should feed. I think he's bored with squid pieces.
Also, last night I went in my room after lights out to see him curled up tightly behind a shell, mostly exposed but, not moving. I guess he was sleeping but I thought he was dead. I thought Mantis' were mostly nocturnal so, i used some chopsticks to move the shell and check. It took him a minute to come to but he ran back in his hole. I wonder why he was sleeping at night outside the lair.
