I have my two maroon clowns in a 28 cube and there had been a really nice nem in there, but the large clown smothered to for months and sadly it didn't make it. Now the large maroon goes on sand sprees and kicks up sand all over the tank. Whats the behavioral reason for her doing this? Any ideas?

The maroons ime are tough lovers on nems..lol. Mine used to flash the sand like crazy right before she laid eggs. And sometimes just for fun....

it was too much for me so I rehomed the nem and maroons.

Cool. I sorta thought it might be nesting related. The coral in the tank sure hate it. The other maroon in there seems still quite juvenile to me, but his gold stripes have been coming in for a month or so, perhaps she is coming around to him.
