Since your skimmer is in your sump, the diverter does not happen to be a perfect fit as it is already in water since you are just trying to quiet noise - if that helps.
Yes just want noise reduction
So if it leaks a little no harm no foul since water pours right back into sump anyways and it will still reduce noise
that way you don’t have to find a perfect fit esp now
