I've always wanted one of these but frankly don't know much about them, I just think they look cool. What are people's thoughts? Are they hard/easy to care for? Do they need to be fed often? Any issues with placement or other corals/fish/inverts? How fast to they grow? Are they hard to come by and don't hear about them much on here or see them in sponsor stores much?

Thanks

I believe care is pretty much the same as for a lobo or trach. I think the last time I saw one around was at Creation a month or so ago. Not sure though. I was picking up a wellso and i saw what I thought at the time was a doughnut/meat coral. Here's a link that might help:

They are very easy to keep I have had one sitting on the bottom of a 75 gal for well over a year and he is very happy. I do not do anything special for him.

I've had one for a year and half. Perfers low light and definitely low flow. They have neat feeder tenticles that come out at night. You can target feed, if you'd like. I do not. They're actually fairly tough. Mine survived being sucked up in a siphon during a water change!

As for reproduction, I dont know. Wet Web Media indicates they reproduce extremely slowly, through budding. Forced reproduction attempts usually end in fatalities.
