Metal Halide Balast??

I am looking at getting new Balast. I was wanting some input and experiences. Currently have a couple of different balast on a twin 250 fixture. I have been looking at upgrading to a couple of 45o watt. How well do the selectable watt balast do? Magnetic or Electronic. Also what brands have been working for everyone. Just wanting some advise.

I just switched to the Luxcore select a watt 400/250 and it seems to do the trick. Reflectors make a big differance as well.

+1 on the reflectors, I went from a old batwing reflector to a coralvue lumenbrite and it made a big difference

I posted in WTB looking for some reflectors as well.

Edit: What are you reflector recomendations? I am thinking of frankenstiening a setup I may get a Radion fixture for the center, 250 halide on each side, with T5 actinics. 60 inch tank. Or just go with 3 halide and T5 or PC's. I will need good reflectors regardless. Let me k ow what your reflector recomendations are.
