Yes, they do as I buy it from them when needed. I know from speaking with them before that they rarely check the forums. Give Angela or Jorge a call and I'm sure they can assist you. Since I'm so far away, I've actually had her mail it to me in the past in emergency cases.

RD this stuff really works on ich!! I had a sailfin with ich and it cleared her right up. I fed for 7 straight days.

Yup, unfortunately, it turned out to be Brooklynella. :-( Lost all but one fish. Slowly trying to get things built back up but it will be very slow going until I find a job.

RD , how can you tell the difference? is Brooklynella curable if you caught it in time?

Theoretically yes, but kills much, much faster.

From what I can tell, they appear pretty much the same. As far as I know, the only treatment that has any success on Brook is a formaldehyde based medication. The good stuff is hard to come by these days because it causes cancer but only in California. I imagine that! The biggest problem is that medication will kill all inverts and corals so you need to get the fish out and into a QT before medicating. By the time I was able to catch most of them they were too far gone.

I can attest to that. Because of my inexperience I didn't know what it was. The experts (JennM and Rippedtide) recommending starting out as if it was ich. Once I saw those treatments were not working we settled on Brook. I was losing one to two fish a day. It was brutal. Right about the time the last of the fish died I lost my job. Tough couple of weeks to be sure.

Me too. I learned an important lesson. No fish will ever go in my tank without spending time in a QT tank first. The only excpetion will be the manderin when I get one. Because of the eating habits, a QT is not a good option for them.

How long after you added the new fish it showed signs of sickness? I need to know how long a fish needs to be in a QT?
