mh lighting bulb selection

What bulb gives the best growth and coloration.I am using a 150 watt DE fixture. Currently have 14k phoenix bulbs. I get great growth but I don't think my color is what it could be.Are the 20k Radium bulbs worth the extra cost?

Pretty sure Radiums don't come in double end but could be wrong. I personally love the look of Radiums.

20K radiums which like eric said.....pretty sure they dont come DE....are mostly going to be for color......usually 10K bulbs are for growth.....so 14-15K bulbs are going to give you growth and color.....you can get 20K megachrome...rather pricey though....around 115$....think its a Elos bulb...?....but if you want growth and color you usually just need to do supplemental lighting with some actinic PCs or T5s....VHOs.....etc....the pheonix 14K are going to give you pretty good growth and color for that spectrum....more so than many other 14K bulbs....

Keen reef sells the DE 150 Radiums

150 radiums are DE, and Keen Reef has great Radium prices, cheapest i've seen at a LFS. Try out Ushio 20K, it's what i'm using now over a frag tank, great SPS color and growth.

I wish they'd hurry up and release a 250 DE Radium. I've heard that there may be one coming, but who knows if/when it will happen.
