So i have this LPS and I was listed as an acan but since I've had it it doesn't look like any acan's that I have. I've only seen one micromussa close up and it was under bad lighting.

This is the coral in question.

It has got much smaller polyps then any of my other acans even as it continues to grow. And I've read that polyp size is one way to compare but not always accurate.

Thanks,
Colin

I have a couple of acan frags that are a lot smaller than the normal acan lords. I think they are acan echinata if I am not mistaken. I haven't seen to many different color formations in mussa, not saying they are not. Here is a pic of mine.

Edit: Top pic in the middle is one of the smaller polyp, I think it is fruit loop acan. I am very bad with names, sorry. I will take a frag of yours when it is ready.

Looks like my rainbow acan. It has smaller polyps than my other ones. Sweet looking piece whatever it is! :)

Acan Echinata have a much smoother looking skin and extremely long sweeper tentacle.
This one has short stubby tentacles and actually feeds less often then my acan lords. And a rough looking texture.

Colin, just toss it in the bag so you don't have to worry about it. I'll GLADLY take that beauty off your hands. LOL
