So I picked up a Midas blenny, from Denise's friend. Are they normally skittish fish? I've not been able to get close it the tank to even see him. Every time I see him, it under a frogspawn in the center of the tank.
Any advice.

If you just put the fish in the tank within the day or so it may take him some time to get used to his surrondings. Dont worry as they are very personable fish when they get situated to thier surrondings.

Aww, congrats on your new fishy :) they are soo adorable.. I bet he warms up in a few days. Take us some pics of him when he gets all settled in & happy

Thanks for the encouraging words guys.

I guess I'm just a little worried with it hiding under the frogspawn/hammer.

I thought I saw it pick a little today so I'm feeling a little better.

My bicolor did the same thing when I first got him. But after a couple of months he would come out and lay on my softies even when my hand was in the tank.

Well he's beginning to eat and explore the tank more so here's hopping he likes it.

even after they've been in a tank for a while.. if there is a "heavy" fish load, and a lot of action.. he'll find a hiding place and peek out of it (like last month's POTM contest winner)

if there's less action in a tank.. after he gets familiar with his surroundings, you'll see him more..
