So I bought a Lawnmower Blenny to keep my algae in check in my BC14. Problem is, he disappeared. I bought him around two months ago, and I haven't seen him for about two weeks. He was around 3 inches long, very active, and as healthy as a horse. Is it possible that my pistol shrimp killed and ate him? The shrimp is around 2" long. My water parameters have not fluctuated at all. The water never got cloudy or had a bad smell.

Livestock consists of:
2 Mocha Clownfish (were not in the tank at the time of disappearance.)
1 Pistol Shrimp
1 Red Banded High Fin Goby
...and various coral

What do y'all speculate?

Lol... I don't have a sump, and I've thoroughly checked the rear chambers. Good thought though.

Edit:

They're jumpers, they're also called rock skippers. I would check a 5 foot radius around the tank.

Yeah, but the tank is closed off. There's no where to go. I did check all around on the floor just to be sure though. Not that that isn't a good idea or anything... that's what has me so stumped on this... Lol.

It's looking like this is the only plausible answer. Good job cleanup crew!

Are you sure he is nowhere in the back chambers, AKA sump, rear sump... I have had several back there. Usaually in the Return chamber, can hide all behind the pump, and blend in with the black...

Yeah man, I emptied the rear chambers just to be sure. That was my first thought too. I also have no paint on the glass over the 2nd and 3rd chambers, and only a heater with the false floor removed in the 1st. He would be easy to see if he were back there.
