Over the past week, my mother colony and a frag of superman montipora have quickly gone down hill and are pretty much gone. They are not next to each other, the frag is on the sand bed and the mother is at the top of the rock work and they had been in these places for about 2 months(the mother there longer). A week ago they both looked great: full polyp extension and great color. Now they are closed up and turning grey(the frag is pretty much gone). None of the other montis are affected and there is no visual sign of nudies or other parasites. Alk is a little low, but other than that everything else is in parameter.

I find it a little odd that no other corals are affected at all and that the two were so far apart, but displayed the same symptoms. Anyone?
