Moonlights

I would look closely at these moonlights:

I have three sets of these and they do a great job on my 300. I used the same number on my 210. Oz uses these as well. A bit more expensive but they work nice and are easily mounted in a canopy. I have them mounted on a lumenbright Pendant, and they still look decent.

BigC07 has those on his tank, too. He has the controller and it's cool that they get dimmer and brighter with moon phases. However, since they don't have white, I don't care for em.

I dig the white myself

Yeah, that's cool.

I have a mix of blue and white and like the effect it gives. Stuff fluoresces under the blue, and I can see what's going on with the white.

I don't like white in a moonlight, personally. I prefer white moonlights in freshwater, and blue in saltwater. The blues bring out the flouorescent colors in the corals. Probably why I prefer them.

Folks:

Can you buy these LED strips locally that have enough power to make a difference in the tank. I was going to run by Home Depot or Walmart and see what is there. If any of you have already been down this road, I would appreciate your wisdom.
