God I hate this, makes me feel like a idiot. But Ill ask anyway. I picked up a few fish this past weekend at Warehouse Aquarium and have asked a few questions on here in the past couple days.
I picked up a couple of clowns and my kid just pointed out that one of them, has a messed up tail. After closer observation, it looks like fin rot.
So my question is what is the recommendation , is there any treatment that can be added to the tank or do I need to go buy a QT tank(of which I don't have the cash for, until next weekend) or do I see if WA will take it back and swap it. Just looking for some suggestions.
Its fun I do great with corals it's the **** fish that always mess me up.

Thanks

Pretty darn sure. I only have 3 fish in the tank and they all went in at the same time. A watchman goby, which I have yet to see since being put in the tank, and another clown. I had first noticed it the day it got put in and put it off as maybe it was nipped in its holding take @ Warehouse Aqu. But it has continued to expand.
Im just trying to find out if there is anything I can treat in the tank or do I have to QT.

I'm sure its not the case, but my watchman is the most agressive fish in my tank hands down.. It attacks my poor Scopus tang every time it gets a chance..

I'm not sure if James was asking about the fish in your tank or in the LFS so I'll ask again. Did you look at the fish at the LFS well enough to know it hadn't already gotten nipped in the tank before you brought it home? If you got two of them that are near the same size then they may already be nipping each other for dominance? If the fish was OK at the LFS then having fin rot develope that quickly may not be possible. I'm no expert on fish disease but I'd Google fin rot and see if there is any information on how quickly it develops and what the potential treatment is.

Yea , I picked up a little tank today, to have on hand in the future for these types of things. Definatley a wise investment.
I had talked to the retailer and was advised a 24hr dead period, however that is understanable and the case with most fish stores. I doubt that it was a issue in the tank as these are the very first fish in it. Other than LR and corals there has been nothing in it.
Regardless the clown seems to be improving, and it has been eating great from day one.
But again thanks to everyone for the input.
