Hi everyone. I had a couple of fish in observation and they both suddenly died. Looked like a bacterial issue. Maybe uronema. So I tore down the tank and washed with bleach 1:10 with water. Then rinsed and let dry. What else needs to be done to reset? Do I need to wash w dechlorinator solution?

No need for dechlorinator if the tank has completely dried. You're good. I'm not sure one way or the other on the strength of the bleach solution, though.

OK thank you. I will double check the 1 part bleach to 10 parts water. What is it that you use?

If you clean the tank and it dries completely, I believe no parasites can survive. You’ll be good. Remember most deaths in QT are from ammonia and/or oxygen deprivation.

1 part bleach to 10 parts water is enough. It's what I use.
