Thought I would show off my Mother's day present I built. Let's just say mom was ecstatic. She has been wanting a salt tank since she was little growing up in Riverside California. Her entire child hood was based around the beach so 50 or so years later I was able to make my mom smile like I haven't seen in a long time.
I've been un-employed for awhile and don't have much $$$ so I constructed the entire stand from scrap wood left over from other projects. The tank has been drilled with 1/2 overflow and return. Chris supplied the abs overflow and I have a Aqua-C Urchin for skimming. The LR, LS and the corals came from one of my tanks. I picked up 12 heads of frogspawn from Than and robbed a few CUC from my fuge. The 2.5 gal sump is to small so I'm planning on increasing the volume in case of power outage. The return is supplied by a MJ1200 and is the perfect amount of flow it appears. I had a Marineland LED light from something else that is great from some softies and LPS that are only a few inches below the surface.
Anyway, hope you enjoy the pics...
Randy

It's a standard 10 gal. I think they are 20 x 12 x 10. Something like that.

Edit: A few more pics...
Or is it 20 x 10 x 12???

Thanks guys, more pics.
The overflow dumps into a mag pump plastic filter that is full of very porous rubble. Then we put some macro in a plastic basket with a led light. Things are going well with it and she spends mornings and evenings gazing at her new babies. Pebbles and Bam Bam, haha, my niece named them...

That is an awesome 10 gallon setup. Everything is real clean and doesn't look anything like your typical "budget" 10 gallon set-up. Great work

Very nice. I'm looking to move soon and switch to a smaller tank, will keep this setup in mind.
