Moving a Tank - tell me your experience

We moved from Macon to Alpharetta and didn't run a single air stone. Fish, corals and snails are routinely shipped overnight in a bag without additional air. A few hours won't hurt them.

I'm reviving this thread because I was looking for moving tips. We'll be moving our 90G here sometime shortly. Currently debating tossing sand vs. keeping sand. With all our established live rock and water, and all the yummy stuff in the sump, probably don't need to keep any sand, do we?

I did the same thing last year.

Good deal. Been setup a couple of years now. I'm already disgusted at what I'll find under the rocks.

Gotcha. I'm sure we'll have bagged up most of the coral first. I worry about finding all the fish after pulling the rock, but we'll have good water waiting for them.
