Moving an EB8

I need to move an EB8 anything special I should do before I disconnect and move? I am new to the Apex. Clueless

the base module gets power from the EB8 so it's not like you can really turn it off before you disconnect the EB8...



I would think that just unplugging the power cord on the EB8 prior to move is all that's needed..


I would also connect the EB8 and let it be on for 20-30 seconds before you plug in the base unit...

other than that.. there's nothing you really CAN do...

The base unit will still have power via an eb4 I am just concerned about just pulling plugs left and right with the unti runing other devices.

dont worry about that... the EB8 is dumb... it only does what the base module tells it to do..

pull the aquabus connector out of it and relocate it...

there is no main shutoff... no master switch... the closest thing to it is pulling the aquabus that powers the main unit.. (which you wont have to do since yours is connected to the EB4..)

just pull the aquabus out of the '8, pull the power plug, relocate the '8, wait 30 seconds or so and then insert the aquabus...

... the system is plug and play.. so you shouldn't have to restart the base module for it to recognize the '8.. your programming for each outlet will remain intact..

after you get everything set back up, you may want to restart the base module, but i wouldnt think you should HAVE to..
