I am always seeing people posting that they are having issues with them breaking! Most of them I see vortex has fixed them but why buy something that keeps breaking?

Where are these posts? Are they from so many people having them vs other forms of circulation?

I have seen at least 3 people this week with ones that have broke or are still broken, one is smallblocks getting out thread, one was where lilrob was gonna buy a broken mp40, and another was where Rob already bought broken ones and was reselling them.

If you're referring to the "broken" one Rob bought, it turns out it's perfect. If you're referring to what Rob was selling, that was parts from previous pumps. Next question, please.
Please refer me to where someone has had a problem with an MP60. I've yet to see that. And for what it's worth, Ecotech is more than generous with their customer service. You have to own one to understand....

Edit: I think the biggest problem is the variable of having the proper glass thickness setting as well as having them aligned properly. Both can have a negative impact on the dry side....

I have heard there customer service is great and usually fixes them. But you answered some of my question with the glass and being aligned properly, so its mostly customer fault not vortex.

I agree with Matt but also love the success and widely used success of the product. I would honestly take the smallblock thread with a grain of salt.

I also see people advertising for sale with new wet sides and/or dry sides. Also some threads with folks replacing the bearings due to excessive sound.

I also notice people get defensive when these issues are questioned.

Mine won't stay into ES modes for more than 20 seconds. Both old 1st gen MP40 with upgraded drivers. One's limping at 40% constant the other one at 90% constant so they're not technically broken :)
Waiting for a good deal on dry sides, everything else has been replaced.

On other reef sites, (I am a member of 10 more sites) there is always some one having problems with them.

Ecotech's website says that Gen1 can't be upgraded, only Gen2. That might be the reason...

I have an MP10. It works, but is so loud it is irritating (since I could have bought 4 Koralia for the price of one MP10). I have had it for 8 months. I'm sure other Vortech owners will tell me that I am doing something wrong. That is why I have kept quiet until now. I'm not sure if I would ever buy one again.

How do you get it replaced?

I have 3 MP40 Ws. I bought all three used. They work perfectly. None have been overhauled. I will be looking for two more soon. :)

I think people pay so dang much for these things, they don't want to hear about problems:doh:. Just kidding guys. I have noticed the new wet/dry sides, noise and bearing replaced threads myself. I think anytime you don't have a direct fit, it would cause a problem like mentioned earlier. I love the way it takes less room out of the display. Very cool idea, but its like LED's, many folks still think there is room for improvement and are waiting for that to happen before spending that kind of cash.:fish::thumbs:

If I had posted a thread every time I threw a Koralia out I'd be banned for spamming on here.

Well then next time throw them my way. :-) LOL

Please, I have 4 K4s been running for 2.5 years not one issue with them at all.

Robb, put down your weapon, no gun fight here:moderator:. But a Koralia is still alot cheaper than a mp. I don't use them either. Jaycen, you are lucky. I had 4 of them, and I only have one that is still running.
