MP10 Help Please

My MP10, controller flashing red green. I took it apart and found the sleeve over the impeller shaft, looks like white plastic or ceramic was chewed up. Impeller would hardly spin. All came out in pieces. Couldn't even get the shaft to go back once out.

Do I need to buy a wet side replacement or run it without that little piece of plastic in there?

Edit: my $.02 is to go to the EcoTech store and buy replacement parts. Cermaic bushing, plastic washer, probably a shaft & nut too. All total like $20.

Thanks for your help. I called them and was really surprised. They were exceptional and even though I am several months out of warranty, they are sending me a total new wetside. I was following your advice but wanted them to clarify what parts I needed and the fellow said forget it, send you a new one.

They do have awesome customer service that's for sure.
But I'm having the same problem I've already had twice this year. My control is flashing red and won't run. They have been great but its a pain to go without one and ship back, wait, etc.
I wish I new why this keeps happening!

Do you have black sand?
