mp10 question

anyone here use an mp10 on a 36" length tank???

i've tried a bunch of different approaches. haven't played much with the short, long, and reef crest. i've tried the lagoon but don't really like it.

what do you guys use???

I have 2 MP-40's on my 65 and I use Reef Crest at about 50% on non-synced mode. Overall, I like the reef crest mode better for SPS.

yeah mines mushrooms, nem, and acans. and a fiji, and zoas. only one tiny sps frag.

i feel like it's either too intense, or not enough. can't seem to find that in between!

Well, I am glad this thread popped up... I am thinkin bout getting a Vortech for my 40g breeder which is 36" long but I dont know which one.. I'm jsut gonna tag along for now.

kirru! get the mp10. it's kinda weird....the max for a mp10 is 1500 something or somewhere along those lines in the gph area. i had two koralia #2's which was like...what?? 1200 gph?? that did nothing for my tank compared to the mp10. somehow i can only manage to run the mp10 at half power on reef crest or lagoon mode...and it does more than enough for flow. it's one of a kind in terms of wave making in my opinion. i love it.

i can't get waves like on the youtube videos though, haha. maybe a 36" base is too long for waves with a mp10.

I'm not looking for waves.. per se... i just want something I can get great even flow throughout my tank.. I have SPS, LPS, toadstool and zoas and my nem. that is it lol

and i am tired of having a huge Tunze 6025 in there... yup thats about right..

I have one MP-10 in a 54 corner on the side wall blowing across the longest part of the tank (I think around 34") . I have it on Reef Crest mode @ 100%. It has worked great. Nothing ever collects on the bottem anymore.
