So I have 2 MP60’s on the side of my tank that I purchased used. Great pumps that work perfectly but the dry side no longer have any adhesive “stickiness” and occasionally just fall off randomly. Sometimes I notice that they are sliding down the glass and I just reposition but then they slide down again. I have tried to use the zip tie cable management command strip things but they also don’t seem to hold up well.
So anyways, any ideas to increase the stickiness of the dry side??

How thick is the glass? I would think the magnet itself is strong enough? I have more of an issue with every now and then the wet side getting off balance and then falling off.

It’s 3/4” glass but the magnet strength shouldn’t be an issue for even that thickness. The wet side is pretty solid so I’m sure that as the dry side slides it gets off balance and kicks it off. I can tug on the dry side gently and it holds fine

def shouldn't be an issue with 3/4".

Double sided tape?

The rubber gasket is probably dried out. I don’t know how that would happen since I have had some mp20s still malleable. But it’s an easy fix. You can buy new ones pretty cheap off eco tech

When a dry side slips off it usually means something is out of whack inside the spinning mechanism- requires a send back to Ecotech for repair or replacement. I have had this happen a couple of times and depending on age of equipment, support does a good job of figuring out best option.

Make sure that the depth is set correctly with the cord notch on the top. The rubber spacer pulls out and rotates to match the glass thickness. If it's set correctly for the thickness of your glass, also double check you have the thin sticky rubber spacer installed between the dry side and the glass which should keep it from slipping. Adhesive cable ties are always a good idea as a backup above the unit to keep the dry side from falling to the ground or swinging down into the glass. Also, remember to seat the wet side to the dry side with the dry side turned off entirely, otherwise you will likely find that they don't mesh up very well and will vibrate or fall off. I think what @ptreef is saying is that the sticky rubber spacer you are referencing is not sticky anymore.

Right. It’s just a matter of it not being a sticky surface anymore. I’ll try some double sided tape

I have an extra 60 wet side someone where if you wanna buy one
