Multiple Wrasses?

Are you able to keep 3 wrasses in one tank? It's a 46g bow.

But there are many that can be.......even if they are the same wrasse. You'd need to list the three you are thinking to get a better opinion. And, you'll get plenty of them......opinions that is.

The only one on your list that I know is notorious for not getting along with others is the sixline. The other 2 are a little better getting along from my understanding. I've only had experience with the sixline. Every fish I added after it picked on. JMO

They SHOULD be fine together. But, as The Bubonic One stated, six line wrasses are notorious for being turds. Add it last for sure......if at all.

I think that Wrasses are generally compatiable. I have never had any fighting amongst the ones that I have in my system.... I currently have a Leopard, Melanarus, and Yellow Corris in my tank and they have never had a problem.

Which fish are you thinking about?

I have a Melanurus Wrasse, 2-Leopard Wrasse, and potters wrasse with no issues with each other. My melanurus picks off my cleaner crew. He kills about 12 snails a week.

Agreed... my Melanurus and Yellow Corris pick at the crabs and shrimp.

In my 58 I had a lighting wrasse, large yellow coris wrasse, McCosters wrasse, extique(sp?) wrasse, and a fairy wrasse.

My six line is doing fine with the other fish. It has only been 6 months but so far so good. My kole is the bully in my tank.

Mine has been fine since October which is why I asked. Not long enough of aperiod to come to any conclusion other than he hasn't become a turd yet. May just keep it in the biocube when I setup the other tank and move it over last.

I would not add the sixline if you are considering a leopard. It really depends on the sixline but I would not take the chance. But if you really like them add the leopard first (and make sure he is eating WELL) and make sure the sixline is the last fish of the tank.
