Yeah, that's an awesome sump! You did a great job. What do you mean by "kink"? I ended up using these because they're more flexible and were w perfect fit for the pump.
you need to go with braided vinyl. although a bit harder/less flexible than the regular vinyl, it will not kink over time. a kink in the hose with reduce the output and put pressure on your pump.
