Picked this up not too long ago, thanks Joy! Worked on a scape, which I am happy with, took me long enough to make up my mind. I will be doing an 8 led DIY retrofit. Ordered all my parts today so I will update when its completed. Maybe i'll take pics as I go along and post it up in the DIY forum.

Let me know what you think!

woops.. accidentally posted the same picture up twice. since I cant edit.. heres the other one, lol.

 Looking good! I like the small rock, sticking out up top! Did you attach it somehow, or is it just balanced there?

Can't wait to see it with some life in there. Are you doing just corals, or some sort of fish? Goby and pistol shrimp, perhaps?

Yes, please do a thread on your DIY-LED's!!

Thanks! I used epoxy to hold most of the pieces together. the whole thing is basically 1 big piece now, except for the front left. That top piece could stay by itself w/o epoxy but did it just in case.

I might put my clownfish in there when i break down the other tank. He is very small right now, maybe a tad over an inch long; but thats it, aside from my cuc. Rest is going to be corals. I'm seeding this tank with some rock and sand from my existing tank.

I'll take pics of the LED setup. Most of my parts (that I ordered this morning) were shipped out early this afternoon.

Thanks guys. So today when I checked my mail I was excited to see a small box in there. Some of my LED parts came in!

unfortunately... they only shipped my 2 out of the 4 leds I ordered from them. So I called them and they are shipping the other 2 royal blue leds.

Still waiting on my 4 cool white leds, heatsink, and the power supply. Power supply will be here tomorrow. Just thought I'd share! lol.

for now i'm just going to keep softies and zoas, some lps. Just the corals I already have. I can keep sps/clams/nems under this light if i wanted... but tank is too small for the nem, lol. I'm only going to have 1 fish, my clown, for now. Once he gets too big I'm going to get rid of him and maybe get a small goby. I do want this tank to have the packed look with corals.

Measured and mounted the LEDs on the heatsink.
Decided to use thermal pads instead of drilling and tapping... much easier.
Will solder and wire everything tomorrow hopefully.
