My first mistake (that I am aware of)

I noticed that my 2 Acan frags were looking horrible last night, shriviled up and looking rough. Nothing on my side had noticably changed, other than I had been trying to cut back on how frequently was feeding my corals to let them fend for themselves a little. Just as I was pondering how I should potentially start to feed them again, I noticed that my Heniochus was down there pecking at one of them. Gosh Darn!!! That stupid fish, blah, blah, blah... After trying to get him to knock it off I finally threw some Nori in so he would hopefully be occupied.

My next thought was that I must not be feeding my fish enough and he is starving, driving him to eat corals. Then I did some research and realized my mistake as I read Live Aquaria "Reef Safe: No"... WHAT?!?!, how did I miss that one? I got him as part of the package that I purchased from another guy. I did not do proper research on him. He had never seemed to bother my corals thus far, but if he was indeed a little hungry then I guess his omnivorous side kicked in and he started eating the coral.

Anyway, unless anyone has any great ideas, I guess I am going to have to sell him.

Sounds like you got the species that isnt reef safe... cool fish, and there is a reef safe species of it, but I'd say catch him and sell him.

Yeah, I like him, seems to have a good personality and a nice 'change-up' from the tangs in my tank. But I am interested in keeping corals, and they are too pricey to use them as fish food.
