My First Reef Tank

OK part of my torch coral is not looking good. I'm not sure if it dying or what. All of my parameters are right where they are suppose to be. Could it not be getting enough light. Also I found a piece of my frogspawn floating around the tank. Is this normal.

I added 2 new fish and a peppermint shrimp to my tank today. I added a yellow watchman goby and a domino damsel. Everyone seems to be getting along together except for the goby. He has not found the bottom of the tank yet. LOL. I will post pics later as soon as they settle down some.

I added a new coral to my tank today not sure of the name but its a teal blue colored ricordea mushroom. I will try to post a pic of it when it opens up better.

Well I added a very beautiful mated pair of coral banded shrimp to my tank tonight. Here is a pic of just one of them.

I had to change out sea urchins today because the one that I had was not doing its job and I think he was just to large for my tank. This is the new one that I picked up. He is alot smaller and moves around alot more then the other one did. Here is a pic of him.

Well I added some nice pieces of coral today thanks to a real nice ARC member by the name of Franz. I picked up a nice monti frag, blue clove polyps, some nice GSP, some pretty green zoas, and a nice frag of Kenya tree. So far they have acclimated well and the zoas and cloves are opening up nicely. When everything gets settled and I get them placed I will post pics.

I have not really had any problems with the CBS. It gets along with everything pretty good.

The Montipora looks better in the tank. I will post a pic of the GSP as soon as it opens.

Edit: I'm thinking about switching over to leds next month. I'm going to try out the gu10 build I have been reading about on nano-reef. Any thoughts on if these work as well as the thread shows or does anyone think this would be a waste of my time. Let me know any input would be welcomed.

Did you change to leds yet? It looks good though i think if you change it will only be better.

How is your stunner doing? Mine is about to die i have no shade in my tank.
