Ok this is my first skimmer mod ever...Started off with two venturi's that had been reduced down to 1/2"...punnie...So after doing to research found that the beckett is a much much better mixer than the venturi...Now this skimmer will be running about 250-300 gallon frag system that i am installing in my basment.

-First pic is before the mod and second pic is after the mod
-Second pic had two holes a little bigger than 1/2...after taking some measurements found that with both becketts installed i didn't have enough room for two elbows and a T fitting, So after some head scratching figured that i could just add 4 90's instead of two and to bring a couple extra inches to the picture so that there was room inbetween the 2 becketts for a T fitting for the water supply.
-had to drill two 1 3/4" holes where the previous holes were
-installed two uni seals mated for a 1" pipe or beckett
-installed the two beckett's until they hit the bottom of the uni seal
-ran plumbing to the supply

When I get system up and running I will show the bubbles this puppy makes but all in all very simple to do and I was informed well worth the time

It took 3 days and the becketts looked amazing...of course i had to take them apart to better understand them but very very good quality and great shipping box...I was highly impressed....the guy that runs it (jim I think) quickly responds to emails to him...now i am just wandering what kinda pressure i am going to have to put to this baby...although i am running it off of my 1.0 hp pump as welll as many many other things just can't wait to start the build of the frag system along with setting up my new display...too many things to do now

Well all I can say is the becketts are a beast...Didn't expect them to be so big

Any other mods that i can do...I just want to have this thing skimming awsome so i can have alot of sps frags in the 300 gallon frag system
