Ok this is my first skimmer mod ever...Started off with two venturi's that had been reduced down to 1/2"...punnie...So after doing to research found that the beckett is a much much better mixer than the venturi...Now this skimmer will be running about 250-300 gallon frag system that i am installing in my basment.
-First pic is before the mod and second pic is after the mod
-Second pic had two holes a little bigger than 1/2...after taking some measurements found that with both becketts installed i didn't have enough room for two elbows and a T fitting, So after some head scratching figured that i could just add 4 90's instead of two and to bring a couple extra inches to the picture so that there was room inbetween the 2 becketts for a T fitting for the water supply.
-had to drill two 1 3/4" holes where the previous holes were
-installed two uni seals mated for a 1" pipe or beckett
-installed the two beckett's until they hit the bottom of the uni seal
-ran plumbing to the supply
When I get system up and running I will show the bubbles this puppy makes but all in all very simple to do and I was informed well worth the time
