My new Turtle

Just walked in the door from Bahamas and
I had to bring home a Turtle : )
I will post up some really cool underwater reef pics soon

Thanks , I really should have took a good pic of the underside also to show how detailed the craftsmanship really is. It was a awesome piece. Long story short about 4 years ago we went to Bahamas and we went to the Straw market and this guy had all of these hand carved pieces. O ask how much he said 300 I said no way 100 he was pissed so we argued a little and I just left knowing I really wanted the turtle. We went back same spot same guy better turtle and he wanted same price : ) I kinda played like I didn't want it and he ask how much I would pay I said I really have no idea but that was just to much for me to pay. ( My wife smiled because she knew even if he said 300 I was not leaving without that turtle) So I said 150 he said 225 I said how about 200 and he said deal I could not believe he came down but I was happy and I believe he was just as happy also. Win Win

Picked up an Iron Wood one in Mexico almost 30 years ago. The peso had just crashed and I got it for $5.00 US. Yup, that is the correct price. LOL. A week earlier it would have been close to $100. I gave it to my Mom and she still has it.
