My RBTA split!!!

my rbta split and so did it's baby! I can't find him anywhere! !! Do they normally hide out?

When they split, they sometimes do not attach immediately so they can get blown behind rocks or down into crevices.

That's what I'm hoping. It had moved to the back of the tank and was on a rock, but when I looked yesterday afternoon he wasn't there and the other piece is still hiding.

Can it get in your overflow? Check it and keep an eye on it just to be safe. Cover any vortech's if you have them with the foam.

If you can find it you can turn off all the flow and place it on a rock where you want him to stay. Holding it gently near the rock will often work. They like to get their foot into a hole.

If your going to sell it and can get it before it secures itself float it in a basket...
